At six weeks, the puppies turn into little alligators and piranhas, constantly biting on each other and anything else within reach. While their fights look and sound vicious, they never draw blood and they're teaching each other when to back off.

The boys are so close in size and temperament that it's hard to tell who is the leader of the pack. It changes hour by hour and day to day. Nixie is just enough smaller to know her place, but she is fiesty when a brother confronts her or she wants to pick on someone.
